Soon we shall also have another app, 'Sisters of Mersey', highlighting the influential and inspirational women of Merseyside! And I may even regale you with stories of other local history if you're unlucky!
Also pleased to report local history wise that the first of 2 new Iphone and Android apps is now live. The Viking Age in the NorthWest is free and available now, and does what is says on the tin, showing Wirral sites and Viking history. Dr Clare Downham, the creator, will be talking about it on Radio Merseyside tomorrow at 2pm.

Pleased to report that lazy me has finally got round to sorting my shared files so the Dylan Thomas files should work again. Lucky you!
Sorry I've not been on for an age but just thought I should add a brief post when I came across www.jhmoncrieff.com/the-haunting-of-abercromby-square/ . Its a great story by Catherine Cavendish, very evocative. Shame no-one of that name lived there then... and the pub wasn't there... and no-one died there that way. But great story none the less! Maybe they lived on a side street ;-)
I'll be adding a link soon to a fascinating new project I'm involved with about the influential women of Merseyside history. So keep checking back! Just to let you know there'll be no more updates for a little while, but please do feel free to browse through the last couple of years of blogposts, there's a lot of information there.
For any horror fans out there looking for an interesting blog please do try vividcolourshorror.com/. Its pretty great! Bye for now. Chris 27 Abercromby Square (also 1 Bedford St North)
